Cakes by Yen began over 12 years ago, sparked by a mother’s love for her children and a desire to create something truly special. My journey into the world of cake decorating started with my daughter's first birthday—a Minnie Mouse-themed party. With no experience or knowledge about cake decorating, I had a big idea in my head, something I had never seen in any bakery. It was a time when cake decorating was much simpler, at least in my area. That first cake was enormous because I knew nothing about serving sizes or decorating techniques. But it was a labor of love that ignited a passion.
From that day on, I spent every free moment practicing and learning new techniques. I took every opportunity to create something new, always pushing the boundaries of what I could do. I am passionate about creating cakes that are out of the ordinary, always searching for a vision, idea, or inspiration to bring to life in edible form. I love the creative process, from the initial spark of an idea to the final touches that make each cake unique.
After years of baking for friends, family, and friends of friends, I finally took the leap to make myself known. Cakes by Yen was born from the encouragement of those around me, driven by a desire to offer desserts that taste as amazing as they look. For me, both flavor and appearance are equally important. I’m not interested in mass production; I prefer to dedicate time to each order, ensuring it’s the best it can be. My perfectionist nature means nothing ever looks perfect to my eyes, but it’s this attention to detail that I believe sets Cakes by Yen apart.
